How the group coaching
sessions work

  • The Lived Experiences Online Group Coaching program is an 8-week transformative journey led by Dr. Tamea Ryan. Participants engage in weekly group coaching calls, personal reflections, and interactive exercises designed to help them explore, reshape, and embrace their personal narratives.
  • To ensure personalized attention and meaningful interactions, each group is limited to 4-6 participants.
  • The group meets once a week for a 60-minute coaching call. These calls are the cornerstone of the program, supplemented by individual exercises and reflections between sessions.
  • Participants are given reflective exercises, journaling prompts, and narrative development tasks to complete between sessions. These assignments are crucial for deepening the learning and transformation process.
  • To express interest, fill out our online application form below. Dr. Ryan reviews each application personally to ensure a good fit for the group dynamics. Successful applicants will be contacted for a brief introductory call before final enrollment. The next cohort starts on April 15, 2025.

What is Coaching?

Unlike therapy (which focuses on healing past wounds) or consulting (which provides expert advice), coaching is a collaborative process that helps you move from where you are to where you want to be. All of these services are valuable, and you may find that you benefit from different approaches at different times in your journey.
As your coach, I don't tell you what your story should be.
Instead, I will:
  • Ask powerful questions that help you see new possibilities
  • Provide frameworks that make change practical
  • Offer feedback that helps you recognize patterns
  • Create accountability for the changes you want to make
  • Share tools that make transformation sustainable

What to expect in your first group coaching session: Foundations of your personal narrative

Introduction and goal setting

In her first group coaching session, Dr. Ryan will introduce herself and provide an overview of the coaching process. She will also work with you to identify your goals and aspirations and create a plan for achieving them.

Discuss challenges & obstacles

You'll be motivated you to talk about any obstacles or challenges impeding your goal attainment. By attentively listening, they will offer guidance and support to help you overcome those challenges.

Creation of an action plan

Based on your goals and the challenges you are facing; Dr. Ryan will help you create an action plan for moving forward to start rewriting your story. This plan will include specific steps you can take to overcome obstacles and make progress towards achieving your goals.

Ongoing support

Dr. Ryan will also discuss the ongoing support and resources that will be available to you throughout the coaching process. This may include access to additional tools and resources, ongoing check-ins, and support from Dr. Ryan between sessions.
